Debian on MITAC Tioga Pass

Thomas Gambier, Head of Rapid.Space cloud operations at Nexedi, stated: “MiTAC OCP Tioga Pass servers were installed with Debian 9 and SlapOS. They have gone through a one month period of intensive tests which combine CPU, RAM, SSD and networking at the same time by running forty of ERP instances on a 40-core server. All test results were successful”.

Afred Chao, Co-Lead of OCP Taiwan and Special Assistant to the President Office of MiTAC Computing Technology Corp. OCP, stated “SlapOS powered by Debian adds a fully open-source, license-free option for companies willing to create their own public cloud or private cloud infrastructure based on OCP Tioga Pass.”.

Jean-Paul Smets, CEO of Nexedi, concludes: “SlapOS is the only open-source IaaS or PaaS solution with 100% success ratio. Combining SlapOS and MiTAC Tioga Pass can slash costs by 5 to 20 compared to average public clouds.”
